What both directions fix vs. what's live now: the activity column gets a real panel (today it floats naked next to bordered cards); the left rail is de-densified (today it's a 10–13px inspector with a hairline on every row); the header stops duplicating the engagement panel (today DNC / last-contacted / pool-count show twice); timeline emoji → clean icons; the empty state stops being a void; collapsibles animate instead of snapping.

Direction B reframes the page as an outreach conversation: SMS/blasts render as a thread (outbound right, inbound left), calls collapse into quiet system rows, and the stat strip answers "where do we stand" at a glance. It's the bigger change — and the one most aligned with the inbox you just shipped.
Empty state (sparse agent, e.g. 831127 Alyssa): instead of "No activity yet." floating in a void, the panel shows an icon + "No outreach yet" + "Start the conversation below," with the composer right under it — the page never looks broken.
